Purpose
The main window is the starting point of the PCC application. The window shows an overview of the project and the pipeclasses. For the current pipeclass, all content is shown.
Description
The main window contains several parts that will be explained:
- Program menu
- Program toolbar
- Current project
- List of all pipeclasses in the project
- Current pipeclass with components, tables and lists
- Overview
- Status bar
- Results and Reporting
The program menu, program toolbar and other items of the main window are shown in below image. The program menu is at the top of the window and provides access to all functions of PCC. The program toolbar is below the program menu and has buttons with icons for the quick access to the frequently used functions.

Program menu
The menu items in the program menu at the top of the PCC program window can be selected by clicking the items with the mouse or by using the shortcut keys such as Alt+F for the 'File' menu item. The program menu gives access to all functions of PCC. For further information see PCC program menu.
Program toolbar
The buttons in the program toolbar at the top of the PCC program window can be used to activate frequently used PCC functions. For further information see PCC program toolbar.
Current project
The line edit field at the left top with label 'Project' shows the current selected project (or plant). This field is not editable, the project number can only be changed in the project edit dialog window. For further information see PCC project edit window.
List of pipe classes
All pipeclasses in the current project are displayed. Click one item to activate the current pipe class. A scroll bar will appear when more pipe classes exist than can fit in the list, to allow the user to scroll down to the remaining pipe classes.
Current pipeclass
Only one pipe class can be active. It contains all components data, settings and calculation parameters. For further information see PCC pipe class edit window.
Overview
The large view at the right shows an overview of all data of the current pipe class. The view has several tab pages showing parts of the pipe class in a different overview:
- 'Pipe Class Component', an overview of the pipe class data and all components. The line sizes are displayed in DN and in NPS. However, depending on the calculation code, the line sizes are displayed in only DN or only NPS per component type.
- 'Branch Table', an overview of all components with branches.
- 'Two Size Table', an overview of all components connected to two line sizes.
- 'Note List', an overview of all notes in the pipe class.
Status bar
At the bottom of this window, the program shows the status of PCC. Mostly the status of the license is shown.
